Project Heirs invests in 4 Seasons
The first company in the portfolio, and the first of the Maintain division.
Atlanta, Georgia. Project Heirs has invested in 4 Seasons, a home services company in metropolitan Atlanta. It is the first company in the firm's portfolio.
01 Why we invested
Home services is among the largest and most fragmented parts of the physical economy, and the workforce that runs it is retiring faster than it can be replaced. In a market held back by labor, durable advantage belongs to the operator that can raise the output of each skilled hour. That is the basis for the investment.
02 What we are building
With 4 Seasons the firm is building a self-driving business: a home services company whose operations run on software, from the first quote to the final walkthrough, so its people spend their hours on the work only people can do. The platform beneath it carries the demand, the pricing, the scheduling, and the record of every home.
03 The partnership
The company's founder continues to lead its operations. Project Heirs provides the foundation the business runs on, and the two build on it together. The operator runs the company, and the firm builds and owns the layer beneath it.
04 What comes next
4 Seasons is the first of the companies Project Heirs will build across the physical economy, in the divisions the firm calls Build, Maintain, Move, and Make. It is the beginning of the Maintain division.
